Surf Pools Ltd is the leader in surf design technology producing quality surfing waves in pools and lakes.

Surf Pools Ltd operates its own physical laboratory and independently runs its own operations. However, the real-world and laboratory data, oceanographic equipment and staff are shared between the two companies to ensure a seamless transition from real waves in the sea to full-sized real waves in pools and lakes.

The director of Surf Pools Ltd, Dr Kerry Black has over 30 years of research, science and product development experience. The company is supported by a multi-disciplinary team of oceanographers, modelers, biologists and engineers. Many have surfing at their core.

The most respected science journal in the world, Nature magazine, called Black an "oceanographer making wave pools with phenomenal waves". Along with Dr Mead, their vision was to link surfing and wave science for the first time.

Using experience in the ocean and in-depth knowledge of wave dynamics, Surf Pools Ltd has developed its own patented technology capable of delivering world class surf in controlled, salt and fresh-water pools and lakes.
